WLJ day 3 activity 2

Activity 2: After your great visit to the Otorohanga bird house it is time to hop back onto the bus and head towards the Hawke’s Bay – your resting place for the evening. Hawke’s Bay is a beautiful region of New Zealand. It is known for its wineries and gorgeous scenery. When you arrive in Napier, the largest city in the region, you go for a walk through Waitangi Regional Park and notice that many of the leaves on the native trees have been damaged. Curious Kiwi tells you that they were damaged by possums, non-native predators, from Australia. People in New Zealand are working hard to trap and kill these predators. Their goal is to remove all of the possums (and other predators) by 2050. Go to the Predator Free 2050 website’ to read more about their work.On your blog, tell us whether you agree that New Zealand should be predator free. In your opinion, is it right to kill all of the predators (eg. possums) or should we just leave them alone? On your blog tell us what you think and give us, at least, three reasons why you think this way.
--------------------------------------------
1st reason:
I think that New Zealand Should be predator free because It says that possums are ruining our environment and that has to STOP!
2nd reason:
New Zealand should be predator free but if they do not want to kill them take them somewhere that does not have native trees or native animals.
3rd reason:

If they are ruining our environment just send them back where they came from. because it would be bad if we killed them because there would be less of them. if they are native somewhere that country will have less native animals.
----------------------------------------------
Task description: this is my three reason why I want eradication. This is the third day of the holidays and I would say I am doing well. Hope you have an awesome holiday.

  1. Hi Naomi,

You are doing SOOOO well. I have been reading your work the whole holiday and I have been really enjoying it! I love that you are putting so much effort into your blogs and thinking really carefully about the various activity prompts.

In this particular post, you've clearly thought about the issue of eradicating possums and given three clear reasons in support of your answer. This is awesome. I love it!

Keep up the great work with your blogging, Naomi. It is such a pleasure to read your work!

    Cheers,
    Rachel :)
