3D clay shapes

yesterday room 4 made 3D shapes out of clay. the ingredients we used was clay, water, a wooden knife and a plastic ruler to get the faces smooth. Me and my partner (Amelia) made a 3D hexagon, we wanted to make a complex shape so we chose a hexagon. everybody else made a cube and a 3D circle. the reason why we were making the shapes were because our school is running out of maths equipment and we thought it would be fun to make some of the 3D shapes. Questions for the little kids: how many faces does this shape have? dow you know what shape this is? how many vertices and edges does this shape have? This hexagonal prism and it has 8 faces 18 edges and 12 vertices.

How to save money

How to save Money: By Naomi penu

DO you know how to save money? Why is money so important to us? Do you want to learn how to save money? If so, you’ve come to the right place.

Firstly, you can start by using less power and less water usage. By using less power and water it saves you from paying a lot of money for the bills. This means you can make a limit of how long you can go on social media or how long you have a shower.

You can also save money by sticking to a budget.  For example you can have a limit on what you want to buy and how much you want to spend. Also sticking to a budget means you can’t spend over the amount you put down, Because you put it there for a reason. But don’t spend it on things you don’t need only spend it on the things you need.

Lastly you can get a savings account. You can have one spending account and one savings account by having a savings account you can put money in, BUT DON’T TAKE IT OUT! You can spend it but only for a good reason.

These are my points on how to save money and if you follow these steps then you might be able to save money. If these points helped you i would be really happy but if they don’t…. I’m just a kid!

task description: this task is an explanation writing task. we had to explain to the reader what we were going to do and also use some good connectives as well. this task was also about how to save money and it was really hard, for a person who usually spends all there allowance.

My visual Mihi

This is my visual mihi. what is a visual mihi? well a visual mihi is what you like and where you come from. A mihi is just the same thing but you say it a visual mihi is where you can see/draw your mihi.  My first one is my culture and my culture is Tongan and I didn't  do all of them because I have heaps. the second one is my family and I put them there because they are very special to me. the third one is about god and jesus because I believe in god so of course I would put the cross in and gods name. the fourth one, mostly everyone loves it.... FOOD! I put it there cause without it I wouldn't be living right now. but overall all of the things I put on represents me and what I believe in.
