MOTAT adventure

Image result for motatGetting off the bus Me and Jorelle are busting to go toilet we ask the teacher and run straight down. Coming out of the toilet “where’s our class” we look everywhere and we still can’t find them we looked in the gaming room, the village and still did not find them. We started to panic we checked in the toilets and no students.

As the time passed we saw the students getting on the bus we run as fast as are legs could go. We ran and ran but we missed the bus. Stuck at Motat. Looking around Me and Jorelle were wondering what to do next.  We were panicking and panicking and didn’t know what to do.

We ran to the gaming room and BOOM! The lights turned off. They were screaming and they didn’t know were each other were. Running around to see where they were jorelle falls and faints on the ground. “Oh No”.“Naomi Naomi Get up and get ready for school or your gonna be late” Said My Mum “What where am I aren’t I at motat?” I replied. “That was a dream” Mum said and I replied “  Oh”.

Task description: This is a fake story about My crazy adventure at M.o.t.a.t we could pick any of our friends or teachers to be alone and stay the night there. Why we did this is because we had to write an adventure but in a full narrative.

Into the cave

Walt: write a narrative
Walt: demonstrate understanding of a number of strategies and skills for writing

(for example, use of paragraphs, a range of sentence types, descriptive language, punctuation, spelling).

Dad was leading the way as Anna and him Hiked up the mountain. Looking down they couldn’t believe how far they have traveled to get up that steep mountain. As they climbed they see a dark big cave with a lot of grass around it. What would be inside?

Dear Prime Minister John Key,

Kia ora my name is Naomi and I am a year 5 at Pt England School. This letter is about pollution and plastic waste getting thrown into the drain leading to the sea. The problem about pollution and plastic waste is that this rubbish is ending up down the drain. It can affect the fishes in the sea. It can also affect our birds because they go down to the sea and look for fishes but they might see plastic waste and might think it is a fish and could eat it and that can make them die. With all the fish gone fishing can no longer be a hobby. People won’t be able to eat fish n chips.

I think that you should make a law saying “ There should be no one ever to litter in the drains or they will have to pay”. They might listen but here is another idea we can have a event like a competition whoever fills three bags of rubbish gets a prize or something like that. Or we can have more workers to clean out the drain and also John Key I think they should get more money.

The workers should get more money because they are cleaning the rubbish that was going to the sea. The rubbish in the sea can also make our water dirty and with dirty water no one wants to drink it and with no water we will not live. So we need to get all of the garbage in the sea out or we would not live.

Your’s sincerely,

Naomi

Naomi Fitness Watch Advice blog Olympic

Walt: Think Critically About what you read

Task Description: I am giving Advice To James Yoddle. His he wants to be a Olympian weight lifter at the 2020 Olympics, but that is not the the problem. He needs a fitness watch but he does not know which one to choose between fit-bit and the Garmin vivo-fit?
Why we learned this is so we could understand false advertising and stop James from doing the wrong thing and buying the wrong watch. How advertising works is by the marketers of a product using advertising to make it sound like they are the best product, and they are better than all of the other products.  You need to be a critical reader to see through false advertising.

Fitbit Ad   Garmin vivo fit here are the Advert's that I viewed to help James Yoddle make his decision.

If I was an Olympic athlete

Have you ever been trained for something special before? Well I have been training for 4 hard rough and nervous years and now the time has come. I can finally go to the Olympic events in Rio 2016  I am going to become a champion and bring home a gold medal.

The aim of the game is to jump over all the hurdles and sprint to the finish line. If you are wondering what is an hurdle, it is a high wooden frame that people jump over and run to the finish line. The track is straight so when they jump they don't jump diagonally and fall. If you make one hurdle fall down it does matter just try your best.

The country I am representing at the Rio Olympics is New Zealand This is my home town and I love it here. I really want to represent New Zealand because If I come first and which I will then I can be the next valerie adams but in hurdles. Representing New Zealand has a lot of responsibility and heaps of people cheering on for you. When you represent New Zealand you get to hold the New Zealand flag and people at home watching they get excited and you feel happy you are going to faint.

I am feeling so pumped that I am going to compete against the best of the best. I am really determined to compete against other people in hurdles. I am really nervous because I do not know what these people are capable of. If I come first I am going to burst into tears and jump for joy.

My thoughts towards the Rio Olympics is it is gonna be cool and nervous because we are going in front of the whole entire world. My other thoughts towards the Rio Olympics is that New Zealand people in the Olympics should try hard to bring home a gold medal.

Task description: what I did for this writing is I have to write about me if I was going to the Rio Olympics and competing. do not worry I am not going to the Rio Olympics and all of this writing is fake except for how to play hurdles, and my thought towards The Rio Olympics.

my maori warrior

His heart was pounding as the giant moa chased after him. He felt like he couldn’t move his legs. But luckily he  managed to escape the moa. In the cold forest the Maori warrior still heard the moas voice screeching loudly.  The warrior had interesting tattoos covering his body. His clothes were made with only leaves and feathers. Soon he became so tired and went to sleep on the forest floor.

In the morning the warrior was woken up by a familiar sound. It was the moa. “How did it find me?” he said. It had followed his footprints and used its sense of smell. Once again the warrior ran through the forest. Looking back he could see that the moa was getting closer and closer. His heart was pounding like never before. Running for his life he took a big breath of air before he jumped off a cliff and into the ocean.

Landing in the ocean the warrior struggled to get back to shore. As he stepped out of the water he found some leaves and dried himself clean. But the leaves were poisonous! “OH no!” he screamed before he fainted. After several hours, the warrior woke up to find several moa surrounding him. He felt frightened and quickly stood up. He tried running left, right, up and down but he kept on getting knocked to the middle by the moa.

Suddenly the warrior realised that he was surrounded by mother nature. He thought to himself “I should fight back!”. At that instant the warrior ran to a tree and broke down a sharp branch and started to point it at the moa. He swung the branch like a taiaha. But the warrior only killed one moa. The rest ran back into the forest. The warrior was lucky to survive.

Task description: this picture is a drawing drawn by me and this writing you may notice this it was from a my blog too. I am showing you my story and my drawing now to show that this picture has to match my writing about a maori warrior.
