Star dome

Have you been to stardome? Well Me and my classmates went to stardome and it was really cheap! We went there because our theme this term is all about space and star dome gave us more information about space. It is a small gallery and has a lot of things that are kid friendly.

But before all of that happened we went onto the park well at least the small park. It was cool because we also got to go on the flying fox. So then after 10 mins on the park we then lined up in our groups and My parent helper was my friend’s mum, her name was Lose. So we went in and it was a cool and small planetarium.

We had 15 mins of exploring the planetarium and it was cool because it had buttons that activated the machines. We were looking everywhere and heaps of the stuff were cool and have had a lot of information. Then after that 15 minutes we went into the space room and then we learned more about space and planets. Then we got handed an iPad and had to answer the questions and try and look for the answer in the planetarium.

So then after our scavenger hunt we had to line up again and then the fun bit happened. We went into the movie room and I got to say it was very cool. While we watched the movie in the dome it was kind of giving me a headache and not just me Mrs Stickland got movie sick.

I learnt that if you try and search for another planet it is gonna be worthless so the best option is just to stay with earth and just clean it up. I also learnt that a dirty snowball is also another name for comet.  It was pretty fun and cheap but the thing I love most was playing on the flying fox and learning with our teacher.

READY, SET… GO! We sprinted off the race track and then the race started. I was so pumped and ready to roll. I had a lot of butterflies in My stomach and raced as fast as I could. I was so tired and so exhausted I Really wanted to stop.

Task description: this is my post card to my mum and this is fake. I did not go to mars and I still live with my mum. I can't even go to mars I am to young. it is saying how much fun I am having and how much I want to go home to my family. also I was kind of being cheesy when I said from your favourite child but I know I am.

What are lures

 Task description: This task was about lures and if you are asking what are lures check out my presentation. but all I am going to say is that it is a hook looked like a fish to hook on the fishing line. This presentation is all about this child wanting to know about lures and how he can use it.

Ecosystems

Task description: This was about ecosystems as you can see but this was supposed to be an animation but i cannot animate fast because we had three day of literacy to finish it. but instead I did a presentation showing what ecosystems are and what I learnt.

Food web

This is My food web a food web is like a ecosystem. A food web is like a spider web and a ecosystem it is like a circle of bugs. what I mean by that is, for example one spider eats another bug and that bug eats another and then another and yeah. A food web is just like a circle that goes around and around and around.

who likes wetas

Task description: This presentation of all these people we don't know but except Stacey and Me of course. Also this task was to see weather they like wetas or not based on their perspective.

My created bug

A Grass Leaper can be a male or female if it is a male then it has a stinger on it’s butt. It lives in the grass but watch out it is camouflage so you might not see it. It is a bad and an unfriendly bug, it is like a mosquito it sucks your blood but it is just itchy it does not hurt. It is a native bug and it likes to stay in a kowhai tree.  

Task description: This task was about creating a bug and also a interesting fact a Spider is not a bug because bugs only have 6 legs if it does not have 6 legs then it is not a bug. 

How to ride a bike

WALT: present info in a interesting way


 Have you ever ridden a bike before?... During School? Well Me and my friends got pulled out of class to find out that we were ridding on our new bike track for a special bike lesson. We knew how to ride a bike but we still had to learn to walk beside it, check the brakes, wear proper foot wear and more.

Today I thought that I was in trouble but I wasn't. Thank the gods! We were actually pulled out by our teacher Mr Goodwin.  We were going to do a lesson on bikes and then ( here comes the fun part) we get to ride on our schools new bike track. We did our lesson but it was kinda boring but it was supposed to learn how to ride a bike.

All we did was talk about how to ride a bike and answering bike questions. Unfortunately I had to return my bike and get another one why? It was because the brakes on my other one did not work lucky I talked about it because if I didn't then I could not have stopped and I would of crashed. Then I had to check all of the things that I had to check before, again.

As we started to end our video we put the go pro on and then started to go on the bikes. As we were riding, at the start  Daisy ( my friend) was in front of me and she went on the wooden mountain ( I don't know what its called). Daisy stopped and said "oh I'm on it" but she was yelling and as I said she stopped and she made me fall off.

I really liked this lesson I think it was loads of fun I really recommend following these rules before riding because you might fall like I did. Over all I had  a lot of fun and I really enjoyed this lesson.

I also had to talk to you if I were talking to another person who had no Idea what all of this stuff meant.

Task Description: I am giving Advice To James Yoddle. His he wants to be a Olympian weight lifter at the 2020 Olympics, but that is not the the problem. He needs a fitness watch but he does not know which one to choose between fit-bit and the Garmin vivo-fit?
Why we learned this is so we could understand false advertising and stop James from doing the wrong thing and buying the wrong watch. How advertising works is by the marketers of a product using advertising to make it sound like they are the best product, and they are better than all of the other products.  You need to be a critical reader to see through false advertising.

Task description: Here is my activity I did, here you can see there is a picture of a t-shirt and another image of these letters and stuff. you might be thinking what is it well I had to pretend I was an athletes agent and I had to pick the sponsors for my athlete. so I chose Reebok for my main sponsor and for my sub sponsor is Nike. All the money added up together was $17,000 wow that is a lot isn't it.
