Space facts
Task description: these are my facts about space and yeah. I was trying to do this fast because I did not want to stay in at lunch time. Like I said I rushed and the sentences might be a little short and this task description might also be short.
space Narrative
I’ve been in space for about a week now. Pikachu and I Have been searching for a planet to live on with all the earthlings. Why are we looking for a new planet? Well The plants aren’t growing and the season have been changing everyday, there are huge earthquakes and heaps of the kids are scared. We need a new home ASAP!
After a long search we finally found a planet , we landed and like the scenery. “Wait what's that… Watch OUT!” Another spaceship was attacking us. They wanted the planet as well. “ what are we gonna do! There's no way we can defeat them” I said. I looked closer and it was nothing that me and Pikachu have seen before, It was an alien with a pig head. It was a Piglien.
Me and Pikachu VS The two alien pig heads A.K.A Pigliens. It was WAR! Luckily we brought Space blasters, We took them out and started shooting the space ship… BOOM! “ Yay we hit it!” I said, a few seconds later another one comes out of nowhere and hits our space ship. “ NO! How are we gonna go back home.. WE'RE STUCK HERE! We quickly shot there spaceship and luckily there were no more left. The big problem was “How are we gonna get back home!”
As we were thinking for several minutes, we thought we saw an asteroid but as it came closer it was actually a NASA satellite. It crashed on the ground and Pikachu and I ran to it and refigured the wiress and It started working. “ Yay… At last!” We hopped in and went back home. “ But how are we gonna get everybody to the planet” Said pikachu “ we might just have to tell the news report people all over the world and say that we need to evacuate earth and move to the new planet called Planet Zycon.
Nasa had a lot of big space ships and getting people in and out actually took 2 years and 2 months it was hard work but it was worth it. Living in our new home we actually had no homes and building some more took a few more than 2 years. There were no countries everybody was just A Zyconion.

My Art work!
This is My artwork and it is the best that I have done! I think it is meaningless but who cares. I did not trace it was all me. I did get some inspiration but here is my version of it. I'd say it looked exactly like the picture I showed my mum and she loved it! I am not trying to brag in any kind of way. I just wanted to share My artwork with you guys. Thank you all for checking it out, hope you have an awesome holiday.
---------------------------
Task description: This is just about my artwork and what I drew. I think I did a pretty good job compared to my other artworks.

My Road Trip Up North!
all I have been doing this holidays is going on a digital trip. But today I went on a real road trip. We went from Auckland to Oturu Marae in Kaitaia. As we arrived we started waving to our family. Why did we go? we went because it was My nanny Edel's Birthday, And Gosh there were a lot of people I did not know. We unpacked our stuff and it was really easy because we were only staying there for a night. Judah, Trendy and I were getting bored and we then made stuff out of flax ( I will share a photo). Later on , as a celebration the adults couldn't resists having a little drink. That little drink turned into a big one. We went to bed at like 11 ( because we wanted to play with the cards) and then went to sleep. it was really funny because there were some people sleep talking and drunk. also I couldn't sleep that well because My uncle kept on snoring loud as!

Task description: This is more like a fun writing but who cares. This is about My weekend I had in Kaitaia. It has all the stuff that we did and the photos.

WLJ Day 7 bonus activity ( last WLJ post)
Bonus Activity: On your blog, post a video or write a description about your week. What have you learned? What did you like about the trip? What didn’t you like? Was there anything that surprised you?
To earn full points for this activity, you must talk about what you learned, what you liked and what you about your great kiwi road trip.
------------------------
I chose to write a description because I do not know what to do if I were to make a video.
My description of the week:
I have learnt a lot this week thanks to Rachel. I really loved going on a digital road trip with curios kiwi as well. I expressed a lot of feelings on my trip I felt nervous and scared when I was alone and when I was writing from the perspective of the first man to come to New Zealand. The activity that I loved was giving my opinion to which haka was the best. The activity I did not like was the whale rider one, I love the movie but I actually wanted to see the movie and the trailer was not working for me. I loved learning about Peter Jackson because he is really famous and it is cool that someone from New Zealand is really that famous. an interesting fact I learnt was That peter Jackson met the queen and also has his own star in Hollywood.
----------------------------------
Task description: This is the last post until Monday ..... I hope. I will be posting my weekend on Monday okay?
WLJ day 7 (last day..yeah) activity 2
Activity 2: After you have finished up in Taupo, it is time to hop back in the car and head for Rotorua – a town where will have the chance for some much needed rest and relaxation. In fact, you will visit the Tarawera Bush Pool – a geothermal hot pool that is located in the middle of a forest. The warm water in the pool comes from underneath the ground. After a few hours in the pool you feel really relaxed.
On your blog, post a picture of yourself doing something relaxing. I find reading really relaxing. Here is a picture of me reading one of my favourite books!
After a long soak in the natural hot pools, it is time to get back home. Your family and friends can’t wait to see you and they can’t wait to hear all about your adventures. Take a moment to think about what you have seen and done over the past week.
What I Think is relaxing is listening to music. I really love music and especially when I know the whole lyrics.
--------------------------
task description: This is the 2nd to last post I am going to be doing for winter learning journey but I will be posting on Monday about the weekend I had because tomorrow I am going up north and maybe the day after that we might go to cape Regina.
WLJ Day 7 ( last day... I think) activity 1
Activity 1: While in Taupo, you go for a walk around the lake and you notice pieces of rubbish floating in the water. You also notice that there is rubbish on the footpath. As you know, it is really important to put rubbish in the bin and keep New Zealand clean and beautiful for generations to come.
http://www.kiwidaydreaming.com/p/new-zealand-maps.html
With that in mind, it is time think about what you can do to keep New Zealand beautiful. Use your imagination and come up with three things that you could do to make your neighbourhood more beautiful. Post your list on your blog ☺:
List:
1st thing: I think that to make a beautiful neighborhood is to pick up all the rubbish that is around there.
2nd thing: I think is to ask for permission to wash the cars and just make it clean. also I think growing some pretty plants in your garden will look pretty cool.
3rd thing: Mowing the lawns what is wrong with that if you just mow the lawns for every body it will make it easier for the other people too.
------------------------------------
Task description: this is my list and I think this is the last day of the winter learning journey and thank you to Rachel for setting this u for every body and yeah thanks.

WLJ day 6 bonus activity
Bonus Activity: As part of the Matariki festival, there is a two day Kapa Haka competition. The haka is a traditional war dance that Maori performed before going into battle. The haka is now performed by children/adults in the community and by professional sporting teams, including our national rugby team, the ‘All Blacks.’ The All Blacks have performed various haka over the years. Watch the following three haka videos (1 – 3) and, on your blog, list the haka videos in order from best (#1) to worst (#3). There are no right or wrong answers ☺
At the end of your day at Te Papa, you head to your hotel in the centre of Wellington. You are staying on Cuba Street, one of the coolest streets in the city.
----------------------------------------------------------------#1st (the best): I think that #3 was the best haka I think it is the best Because you can actually feel the emotion that they are feeling. I think they were feeling overwhelmed and excited so they just needed the haka to express their feelings.
#2 (kind of): I think that number #2 was the 2nd best because I was kind of feeling their emotions but yeah sorry.
#3 (not really): I didn't really like this one but there trying. I feel like they weren't trying hard enough but of course they won't go hard because it is a game and they might lose their energy.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Task description: I am sorry to the all blacks but they are really trying. As Rachel said there are no right or wrong answers it is just your opinion.

WLJ day 6 activity 2
Activity 2: After visiting Shag Point, you hop back in the van and drive all the way up the east coast of the south island until you reach the town of Picton. You get out of the van and onto the Interislander ferry. It travels back across the Cook Strait to Wellington. Wellington is the capital city of New Zealand and every winter the city hosts a huge Matariki festival to celebrate the Maori New Year. This year part of the festival is being held at Te Papa, a big museum in Wellington.
Read about the Matariki festival at Te Papa. There are so many different things to see and do at the festival this year. On your blog, tell us about three of the events. You can choose any three events that you wish:
-------------------------------------
1st pick: The event I love is the matariki fireworks I think it wasn't on the reading but It was really cool in GI. the last few fireworks were so loud.
2nd pick: I have picked the weave jam because it will look really cool when you finish but also you can learn how to do it and maybe in your life you can teach other people and it can be like a domino effect where people teach and teach.
3rd pick: I think I would have to pick the story telling but I wish they could tell it in English. I think it would be cool because it would be relaxing and you get to learn more about the Maori Myths.
----------------------------------
Task description: This is day 6 and I think it is going pretty well I really love these activity's. Because I get to learn in the holidays. Thanks to Rachel for setting this up.

WLJ day 6 activity 1
Activity 1: Let’s imagine that you were on the first waka to arrive at Shag Point. You had never been to New Zealand before and you had no idea what to expect. Write a poem describing how you would have felt when you arrived in New Zealand. Would you have been excited or scared? I would have felt pretty nervous, I reckon:
----------------------------------------
Poem:
How long until we get there? I am getting pretty cold from the air. I am feeling pretty nervous just to be honest. Maybe New Zealand is what we would call it. is that the island I think I saw it. A few more paddles and then we would stop. I think the navigators getting tired I think we should swap. we stop at land and jump with joy. My throat is dry can you get me some water boy?
The End.
----------------------------------------
Task description: To be honest this took me 20-30 minutes because It was hard looking for words that rhymed. This is actually from today not like my other post ( day 5) that was from yesterday.

WLJ day 5 Bonus activity
Bonus Activity: You and your tour group have enjoyed your day in the mountains but you’re ready for a change of scenery. You ask Curious Kiwi to take you to Central Otago, a region of the south island with lots of rolling hills and flat, brown grasslands. While in Central Otago, you decide to join the Otago Central Rail Trail – a 150 km long cycle trail. Curious Kiwi and I (Rachel) cycled the Rail Trail in April and we loved it!
On your blog, tell us whether you would like to cycle the Otago Rail Trail one day. Does it sound like fun? Why or why not?:
I would love to ride My bike at the Otago rail Trail. Why? well it is because I get to explore more around there. If there is an amazing scenery then Why would you ask me I would love to go. Duh. Who wouldn't love to ride there bike and see an amazing view
--------------------
Task description: This is my little paragraph And you can see I would love to ride there. This was a short little story but It is still a late post like I said in my other post I am going to post day 6 later today.
WLJ day 5 activity 2
Activity 2: After the adventure at The Lewis Pass Scenic Reserve, you are pretty happy to get back into the shuttle van and continue with your road trip. Over the next few hours you travel up and over the Southern Alps, arriving in the city of Christchurch to eat lunch. You have a delicious meal at a café downtown and then hop back into the van to travel to Twizel, a small town at the base of Aoraki-Mt Cook. Mt Cook is the largest mountain in New Zealand. It is also the mountain where Sir Edmund Hillary trained for his climb up Mt Everest – the tallest mountain in the world. Sir Edmund Hillary is very famous because he was the first person to ever reach the top of Mt Everest! Now it is your turn to learn about a famous New Zealander. Use Google to research one famous person from New Zealand and then create a DLO and post it on your blog. Be sure to include: 1. The name of the famous person, 2. Where they were born, 3. Why they are famous, and 4. Two other interesting facts about them.
Task description: as you can see in My presentation I picked the lord of the ring Producer, writer and director. His name is Peter Jackson> He is really famous in New Zealand and in other places as well.
WLJ day 5 activity 1
sorry this is a late post I am still going to post day six today:
Activity 1: After a few hours in the car, you, your group and Curious Kiwi arrive at your first stop – The Lewis Pass Scenic Reserve. It is a beautiful, regional park located at the base of the Southern Alps. You and your group get out of the van and follow Curious Kiwi. He is going to lead you on a short walk through the park. As you start walking, you notice a really cool looking tree on the side of the trail and you stop to take a closer look. When you turn back, the group (and Curious Kiwi) is nowhere to be found. Eek! You are all alone in the middle of a strange forest.
For this activity write a short story (8-10 sentences) about what might happen next. Please be sure to include lots of details about what you might be feeling, seeing and doing after you realise that you are all alone in the forest:
My story:
Can anyone hear me?! "where did they go?" I ran all across the park looking all over for them. I start feeling scared. Why? Well it is a strange place and I did not know anyone there. I started to panic. "maybe there just hiding around the bush" I said shaking. I jumped around the bush and nothing but dog poo was there. I started to scream " Curios Kiwi" "where are you?". I may have made the other people annoyed by my screaming. I ran to look for the car and It disappeared. I felt alone and ignored. I looked everywhere then I heard laughter " what could that be?" I said. Curios Kiwi and they crew jumped out behind the tree surprise. "Got you" said Curios kiwi I was so happy I finally had people with me.
----------------------------
Task description: There is my little story about my scary alone time. Maybe in real life I will always stick with My family ( because I do not want to be alone By My self). Sorry again this is a late post.
