Activity 1: After a very busy day of sightseeing you and your group drive from Tane Mahuta to your hotel in Dargaville. When you arrive you decide to sit down and record your thoughts in your travel diary.Before you start writing, take a minute to read more about Rangitoto island, Karekare beach and Tane Mahuta. On your blog, tell us which of the three places you most enjoyed visiting and why:

1st place: I haven't been there but I think that Rangitoto Island is My favorite, Why? well because it is the biggest mountain in New Zealand and I would love to travel around it.
2nd place: I think it would have to be karekare beach, Because it is so beautiful and I would absolutely love a nice little family picnic.
3rd place: It would be... DARGAVILLE! Why? well I love beaches and It is like one but heaps more than that.

Task description: This is the second day of the holidays and to be honest it is pretty boring, but luckily I have my chromebook and the winter learning journey so now I have something to do. I know it is work but at least it is better than sitting down and playing card games all day.

ReplyDeleteIt was a pretty busy day of sight seeing today, wasn't it? You had so many places to go and so many things to see. It is nice to read that your favourite stop of the day was at Rangitoto. It is a very unique island. Did you know that it's actually a volcano that is about 600 years old? Although that sounds pretty old to me, I have read that it is actually quite young and that Rangitoto is the youngest of all of the volcanoes in New Zealand.
I hope that you will continue to enjoy your exploration of New Zealand. On Day #5 you will get to learn more about the tallest mountain in NZ. It is called Mt Cook and it's located on the south island of New Zealand.
